Speech and Language Therapy Careers

We have clinic work in our Swansea and Cardiff premises, alongside home and school visits throughout South Wales and South West England. Our Swansea clinic head office is well-stocked with assessments and therapy resources, alongside a large collection of reference books and photocopiable therapy books. We are a long-established clinic with a track record of excellence within the area. We enjoy strong working relationships with local NHS services, as well as Local Education Authorities, schools and care providers. The Speech Clinic offers an opportunity for long-term, multi-disciplinary working with complex clients in order to maximise communication potential, including high and low tech AAC work.

Graduate Recruitment Programme
The Speech Clinic offers new graduates the opportunity to access a bespoke Graduate Recruitment Programme, which facilitates progress towards completion of Newly Qualified Competencies within the twelve-month, full-time programme.

The clinic environment is highly structured with assessment, goal setting and therapy delivery models. You will be supported to produce SMART goals with the assistance of weekly supervision sessions and will be provided with tailored coaching in report writing. Supervision sessions are both individual and group, allowing for career development and peer support.

The Graduate Recruitment Programme provides a structure to work through the supervision programme, as well as accessing fundamental training courses, such as Intensive Interaction, Signing, Palin PCI, Symbol UK (Down Syndrome) and SCERTS (ASD). You will be encouraged to disseminate new information and reflect upon your learning in your ePortfolio.
